Bathroom Mirrors, the Perfect Feature

How do you make you bathroom seems bigger and brighter, without breaking the bank? With mirrors, of course! Mirrors can be the perfect feature in your bathroom. The reflection of light makes the room brighter, and creates the illusion of a more spacious area. Mirrors in the bathroom are also functional, and there are as many style options as there are styles to choose from.

If you need a bit of extra storage in your bath, why not choose a medicine cabinet mirror? Mounted over the basin or vanity is a great placement for one of these double duty gems. You can store your medicines, makeup, and daily supplies inside the cabinet, and use the mirror for getting ready in the morning.

Another great option for getting out the door looking great is magnifying or lighted mirrors. A magnifying mirror lets you see your face at twice (or more) the actual size, allowing precision shaving and makeup application. With a lighted mirror, you'll see yourself more clearly, again, making getting ready for the day a little easier. Lighted mirrors look fantastic mounted over a vanity basin for an old fashioned or a modern look. If your short on space, an extendable mirror can be mounted to the wall, and pulled out to just the right height and angle for your morning and evening grooming routines. These mirrors are a compact way to get an up-close view of your face and hair.

A frameless or etched mirror can give you an Art Deco or modern look.

Framed mirrors can give a more traditional, classical look to the room. Frames can be of any width, simple or ornate. You can find plain wood and metal frames, or more lavish craved and painted ones. If you have already have a frame you love, why not find the mirror glass to mount in it? Buying the mirror glass to place into any standard size frame is usually inexpensive and not difficult to do, allowing you to have a custom piece in your bath for a fraction of the usual cost.

Mirrors are a timeless decorating accessory. Whether etched, painted, framed or frameless, a mirror in the bath not only visually expands the room, but can continue to belong with any other accessories as your personal style evolves. No matter what colors or themes you use in your bathroom, one or more mirrors will always be a fabulous finishing touch in your bathroom.
